They have been around since 1996, offer unlimited features and boast that they have the best support on the internet, but many people seem to disagree on how professional it is.

So what can we find out about Bluehost? A number of customers complain that Bluehost is lying to them. Bluehost offer unlimited storage, but complain when users exceed 50,000 files. It also looks like they may have storage limits, even though they say they don’t. What’s the truth? Are these reviews dead on, or is there more to the picture? We’ll try to figure this out.

Since Bluehost advertises unlimited storage, it seems odd that users are saying that Bluehost complains when they have too many files or megabytes. Since they are advertising unlimited storage it seems unusual that people are reporting megabyte limits.

Ok, well, let’s deal with these one at a time. First off, it is true that Bluehost did indeed advertise unlimited. In fact, the word unlimited is posted so many times on that website that you could probably find a cultist message in it! However, unlimited seems to have a different meaning to Bluehost. So, in the customer’s defense, Bluehost does indeed offer unlimited files when actually they only offer 50,000. Ok, now, on the flipside, in defense of Bluehost, it is common knowledge that most shared Web hosts only offer 50,000. More than this, and you need to start thinking about a new place to go. Seriously, and who wants to store 3.5 gigabytes of info on a shared server? And if you need to send or receive over 750 emails per hour, it is obviously time for you to move out of a shared server and into your own place.
